One of my favorite places to meet friends to get Shabu. The original location in Irvine burned down but this location is much bigger though a longer drive. Service is excellent and prices are very competitive. 3 different levels of meats. We usually go for the basic level which includes pork and beef belly, rib eye, fish chicken and other beef cuts. Plenty to satisfy our taste buds. Love the veggies they offer and broth is top notch. Definitely get the wings and spicy tuna roll for the sides. Highly recommend.

AYCE Shabu has Sashimi and sushi options. There are three levels of AYCE, and the two higher levels of the menu have sushi options. We picked the mid-level at $36, and there were plenty of options for dinner. There was a generous portion of sashimi cuts, the Shabu beef sushi was delicious, and the eel sushi was nice. The sushi rolls came in 4-6 pieces so we were not filled with rice balls. I agree with other Yelpers' comments on paper-thin-cut meats, but the servers were very attentive and always around to ask if we needed to order more. Even with the thin cuts, we got full after three rounds of orders. The veggie bowl was not on the menu, and the server would ask if you wanted to add veggies; that is also an AYCE veggie. Friendly and attentive service, a big menu with tons of options of shabu broth and meat, and cooked kitchen food. Although there is a 90-minute meal limit, it is enough time to enjoy a good shabu with friends!

This was my first visit to House of Shabu Shabu (2), although I had been to the Irvine location before and loved it. It's unfortunate to hear about the fire at Irvine. This experience here far exceeded my expectations! We went with Menu (B) for $36, and the meats were excellent. My favorite was the Wagyu Beef Toro - absolutely delicious. A close second was the Kobe Ground Steak, followed by the lamb, Angus beef, flat iron, and ribeye. The appetizers were delicious and warm. The shrimp tempura and fried beef gyoza were great. We also sampled the sushi, and our favorite rolls were the salmon avocado roll and spicy tuna roll. The Shabu sushi and salmon sushi were great too. The eel sushi was also delicious, alongside the premium sushi yellowtail and Toro. We had an excellent server named Quinn. She always brought out the food super fast and made re-ordering really easy. Quinn was friendly and helpful in choosing from the flavorful broths. I highly recommend the house special broth-10/10

This is my kids go to Shabu place. They love it here. We come here often. I always have a great experience here. They have a really good All You Can eat menu. We always go with top one. Better meat selection. This place is always busy and packed, but the staff is awesome. They work fast. They are on point. They are always coming to the table to take your order. There is a 90min time limit. Plenty of space. My only complaint would be meat quality. They serve very thin slices of meat. I know it's all you can eat so that isn't the issue because I can order as much as I want within my time limit. The problem is the meat disappears when cooking it lol. You have to cook multiple pieces together. I really enjoyed their tonkotsu broth. It was actually spicy garlic tonkotsu. 10/10.

Came on Monday at 5:30pm and there was plenty of seating! It was my first time here and I just went with a la carte instead of AYCE. Ordered the spicy tonkatsu with angus beef with udon noodles and it was delicious! Beef with the ponzu sauce was a great pairing. The spicy broths may not look spicy to the eye but there's a kick of pepper as you continue eating. I added 2 hot drops into my sesame sauce and it was definitely spicy, would recommend just 1 if you want to test it out! Service was super quick and fast. The servers picked up my empty dishes the second it was empty and suggested chili oil and hot drops after my friend and I contemplated about getting the spicy broths. I'd come again, it's a great spot to catch up with friends 1:1 or with a small group. Plenty of parking as well!

At only around $25 for Special A, House of Shabu is definitely worth it! I am a huge fan of shabu & have been to many locations in OC. The quality of the meat isn't as great as other places, and the tonkotsu broth is just okay. Their veggies were fresh & there was a pretty good variety. I loved that they had enoki mushroom! Not everyone gets their own pot, but they have a divider in the middle so you can get two separate ones. Just a couple of tips: their floor is sooo slippery. I've never been to a restaurant with a floor so slippery that I had to walk slow to not fall. It's definitely a hazard & I would be careful when coming in. Also, they don't allow hot drops in the broth & only allow it in the sauce. They do have spicy options for the broths though.

Always enjoy coming here for all you can eat shabu shabu. Always get the chicken wings and some rolls for sides. They are popular and busy at peak times. Reminds me to be kind to servers and admire their ability to remember so many things. Fun environment that can get loud and echo depending on how busy it is. Restaurant in general is clean.
